Hey, all!
Out of two retailers I favor the most for my equipment, Aggressive SPorts Shop and CSS, there seems to be a huge bias towards Classic Army hardware, and having owned an M15A4 for over five years now, I can honestly understand why.
The gun is rock-freaking-solid.
We're not talking, like, you can drop it and it won't break, solid. We're talking more on-par with, "This thing is probably as tough as a real M4" kind of tough. With the exception of a bent barrel caused by a freak accident during Codename: Thunder 2, in which I tripped because my rifle's sling broke, and I fell on top of the rofle and pressed the barrel down between two rocks while carrying about 30 pounds of duct-tape-wrapped Harry Potter books (our stand-in for cocaine bundles... Like cocaine, Harry Potter will rot your brain and your nose, cause you to spend way too much money every time you're done with what you've got, and place a huge social stigma on your head, kiddies.). The gun still fired, but it took me close to a month to determine why my sights were suddenly so far to the left that I couldn't adjust them enough to correct anymore.
I had a few gearbox issues that I blame entirely on my eagerness to add in a SystemA M140 spring and a 9.6v 4100 mAh battery that could easily have started a small car engine in cold weather.
Having replaced the gun's internals with OEM CLassic Army and a few select SystemA and Deepfire parts, I can honestly say that I haven't had a single malfunction beside a few battery connector issues and one rather frustrating pellet jam in over two years.
I recommend mid-cap magazines, and an 8.4-volt battery. 9.6 will give you a better rate of fire, but it will also wear out any gun faster.
