Revision Desert Locust Tactical Goggle Essential Kit

Pros: I have been wearing goggles most of my life professionally and otherwise, and this is the best goggle I've worn yet. It is comfortable, does not fog, and has the best peripheral and downward vision i have encountered. Absolutely recommend it. Con: Only cons are you need to remove the dust covers (simple) and it doesnt come in OD green

These goggles are, needless to say, incredibly tough. I recently had the opportunity to try-out a demonstration pair, during a cold, humid day. Unfortunately, as my regular eyeglasses prevented me from properly wearing them, I was forced to use a pair of glasses I modified recently for use underneath a gas mask. I was honestly expecting very, very mixed results. However, I can honestly say that what I got was very, very impressive. The rim around the frame is made from a soft, smooth, very flexible plastic, and the slot for the wearer's nose is adapted to flex to just about any shape or size without having any clearance issues or chafing. Incredibly comfortable. THe strap is quite thick, one that I can't honestly see stretching-out or wearing thin any time soon. THe whole assembly doesn't have much of a way to keep the strap from sliding around on your head, though the way the goggle's frame is designed, they stay comfortable, even with a crooked strap. I was totally unable to fog these goggles. And yes, I was trying. Sitting still, huffing into my balaclava with the top pulled just under the lip of the goggles, sitting still for long periods of time, nothing. I guess I did breathe into them to clean the lens off on the inside, but that faded after a few seconds. What impressed me the most with these, however, was the incredibly wide field of view and low profile. If nothing else, the fact that these goggles offer little if any restriction on one's natural field of view should justify the price. The next thing: Price. Yes, they cost more than some other goggles. THey cost a few bucks more than most conventional paintball masks. No, As I stated earlier, these will not go over glasses. Revision does sell perscription inserts, but as of now, CSS does not carry them. They are available, though. All in all, the Revision Desert Locust system should do any player unhindered by dreadful eyeglasses a great deal of good.
