On my M-4 this vertical grip worked great and allowed me to lighten up my rifle by not needing to have the virtical grip with my flashlight and lazer pressure switches and a bipod. This bipod deploys at the press of a button, quick and effective, I never had to take my hand of the grip to deploy my bipod, allowing me to maintain better control of my weapon. This allowed me to be more effective. However, it will hang up if dust or dirt is in the tube. It does need to be cleaned after every use and it will not support the wieght of a weapon heavier than an AR-15 or AK-47. A heavier rifle will break the legs if not careful.
