At any organized AirSoft game you attend, you'll be required to remove the magazine from your rifle and keep a rated barrel-blocking device over the muzzle. In most cases, this ends up being a barrel-sock, originally meant for paintball. Some guns come from the factory with a thin, red cap that eventually breaks if you accidentally discharge a round into it too many times. Palco has a barrel-sock with a shorter cap on the end than typical, meant for AIrSoft guns. However, let's be honest with ourselves... Barrel socks with their long, dangly elastic cords can be a real pain in the ass. Thet're also susceptible to abrasions and cuts, which eventually unravel the Nylon webbing and render your protective device fairly useless. THey're good, but these Echo-1 barrel blocks are far, far better. It's compact, which is always a plus for players whose loadout really only accounts for the gear they use on the field. It's made from a heavy-duty rubber with a THICK cap, and will stop the heaviest AIrSoft rounds fired from the most powerful guns. It's easy to remove and quick to pocket, requiring you to twist it gently to remove it from your muzzle, and quickly shove it into a compartment on your gear or pants pocket without having to worry about the long, dangly cord used to secure the device to your rifle. THe only drawback: THis device will NOT work with heavy-barreled shotguns or bolt-action rifles. It's designed for5 a snug fit on your M4/M16/M733/HK416, G36, G3, stock-type AK, M249, AUG, FAL, M14, or any other gun with a flash-hider the same diameter as a standard M16 or G36 flash-hider.
